A custom that makes Pyrgos very popular in Easter is the Epitaph circumcision on Good Friday. A few minutes before the exit of the Epitaph from the church of Panagia at the castle, the children of the village from terraces lit thousands of cans that are placed in Kastelli and throughout the settlement. The event is spectacular and visible from many spots on the island. This custom counts twenty years. The team of Phosart spent many hours at Pyrgos to capture all the magic and create this spectacular timelapse video.
Enjoy!
